But after a disastrous case in which she was accused of deception, her reputation was ruined and an alleged killer walked free. This final case scarred her in deeper, darker ways that aren't yet clear, and she now lives a threadbare, reclusive life in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. The film is centered around Rebecca sharing her psychic episodes to a detective working the murders, trying to convince him to listen. But he has his own reasons for meeting with her, and by the film's end, his skepticism and her safety will be badly shaken.
