Zendaya Explains Why Spider-Man: No Way Home Was A ‘Bittersweet’ Experience

Zendaya Explains Why Spider-Man: No Way Home Was A ‘Bittersweet’ Experience

With Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man finally joined the MCU after years of waiting and hope. The role of Tom Holland was substantially developed thanks to his solo films, which also included Emmy winner Zendaya as Michael Jackson. Although Zendaya described why filming was such a "bittersweet" experience, the two have been hard at work on the mysterious threequel No Way Home.

The Spider-Man trilogy starring Tom Holland is remarkable in that it represents an unprecedented compromise between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony. Fans reacted to how Homecoming defied expectations in different ways, including how Zendaya's character Michelle/MJ was handled. Now, the former Disney Channel star has opened up about how it felt to work on the much-rumored threequel Spider-Man: No Way Home. She said, “It was kind of bittersweet. We don't know if we're gonna do another one. Like, is it just gonna be three and done? Normally you do three movies and that's pretty much it, so I think we just were all absorbing and taking the time to just enjoy the moment, being with each other, and being so grateful for that experience.”
