Will Season 5 of Netflix's Cobra Kai be the final season? What the Co-Creator Has to Say

Will Season 5 of Netflix's Cobra Kai be the final season? What the Co-Creator Has to Say

Cobra Kai has managed to keep audiences enthralled for three seasons. The show not only pays homage to the tale that began with The Karate Kid in 1984, but it also manages to add new components to the mythology. When Netflix picked up the series for Season 3, fans like myself were relieved, and the show's popularity has only grown since then, resulting in its fourth season renewal. Then, this summer, it was revealed that the program will be renewed for a fifth season, but some may now be wondering if it will be the show's final season. One of the show's creators has now weighed in on the topic.

Josh Heald, Hayden Schlossberg, and Jon Hurwitz all grew up on the Karate Kid franchise, so Cobra Kai has been a labor of love for them. They've covered a lot of territory in the first three seasons, and with two more on the way, it's understandable to ask if they've planned out a series finale. Hurwitz recently took part in a Twitter Q&A with fans, during which he was asked about the show's future. And his response is likely to inspire fans: “We are very deep into our Season 5 planning. Several scripts and outlines have been written. And we are definitely writing towards an endgame, which will hopefully be beyond Season 5.”
